Introduction
The Sunday Buddhist School is an educational and moral development initiative designed to introduce children and youth to the core teachings of Gautama Buddha. The program is conducted every Sunday, focusing on nurturing wisdom, discipline, and compassion through structured learning and practice.
Objectives
- To develop moral values and ethical behavior among children
- To teach the basic principles of Dhamma in a simple and practical way
- To promote mental peace and concentration through meditation
- To cultivate compassion, kindness, and mindfulness in daily life
Key Activities
- Dhamma Teaching Sessions
- Meditation Practice
- Dhamma Talks and Group Discussions
- Creative Activities (Drawing, Storytelling, Quiz)
- Practice of Five Precepts (Panchsheel)
Target Group
- Children and youth aged 6 to 20 years / Class-1 to Class-12
- Open to both Buddhist families and other interested participants

- Day: Every Sunday
- Time: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Venue: (Buddhist Schools/vihara every Districts)
Importance of the Project
This project not only provides education but also guides children towards becoming responsible and compassionate human beings. The teachings of the Buddha help them choose the right path in life with wisdom and understanding.
